A little something about me...

I have been machine quilting on a domestic machine and hand-quilting for the past twenty years. I first learned to quilt in St. Jacob's (near Kitchener-Waterloo), the home of Mennonite quilting in southern Ontario. I also took quilting courses while living in Calgary and was a member of the Stitch 'N Time quilt group. I continue to update my quilting skills by attending courses in the Ottawa area.

In January 2006, I purchased a long-arm quilting machine made by Gammill Quilting Systems and have now established a home-based business offering machine quilting services. I enjoy quilting both traditional and contemporary designs.

I am a member of the Richmond Area Quilters' Guild and the Poole Creek Quilters group in Stittsville. I am also actively involved in volunteer quilting activities: I participate in a monthly quilting session with a group of women who donate their time to make quilts for a women's shelter in Ottawa and for Victoria's Quilts Canada, an organization which provides quilts to cancer patients. When not quilting for others, I enjoy creating quilts and quilt art for my family.
